About us
The Institute of Marine Biotechnology e.V. (IMaB) was founded in 1996 by members of the University of Greifswald.
The IMaB is considered an affiliated institute of the University of Greifswald. The institute is dedicated to supporting research and development in the field of marine biotechnology, and also to technology transfer in the areas of white and red biotechnology. IMaB's research programme ranges from the discovery of novel microorganisms and their functional analysis to deriving new biotechnological applications.
